I find it works better to ask questions rather than lecture. It often comes down to a hatred of democrats after hearing for years and years how evil they are. So then they have to find reasons to excuse what they don’t like about trump.

It was interesting that half the people I spoke to thought it was a landslide. I corrected them and told them to pass it on and change the channel (nicely and conversationally, they were all lovely).

In the 90s we didn’t hear much about crime elsewhere unless it was extreme. We’re exposed to so much more, and visually, that it affects perception unless you dig deeper.
