I think part of the answer is a 50 state Dem unity platform that is well and uniformly articulated. That is asking a lot of Schumer, Jeffries, etc... the party that can't back Mamdani and has sacrificed young voters.
I understand that. The question is: what must be done in order to do that. If I'm not mistaken, the Democrats were within a couple votes of getting that done in 2020. The direct question is, do the Dems risk it by starting the war or do they take the loss in TX and risk losing the house that way?

First and foremost, EE Schattschneider would say Dems must establish ideological distinction from GOP. I don't know how this could be easier- look at Project 2025 and counter it. At a certain point, one must wonder if Dems actually care about winning.
Just kidding, I'm not doing a long thread on Schattschneider. Schattschneider tells us that controlling or changing the scope of the conflict is important political strategy. Democrats would do well to read some Schattschneider and learn how to get the audience to pay attention to the conflict.

Jeffries is emblematic of two of Dem voters' main problems, especially young voters who did not vote: he is perceived as weak (for good reason) and he refuses to recognize the truth about Gaza. People want change. He wants status quo.
