It may very well be grand juries who save our democracy. It seems that this is one of the few remaining ways that the proletariat is independently empowered against our oppressive government. If they come for the authority of grand jury verdicts, that could be a sign that’s we’re 6ft under.
It’s extremely dangerous to expose children to a militarized police force carrying assault weapons. The National Guard are not community-oriented officers, they are not trained to in a wholistic approach to the daily, street-level protection and safety of civilians that de-escalates conflict.
