Mum lives 140 miles away in a 3 bed detached. Weāre looking for affordable house with space for an annexe. But almost everything built since 80s is too small with postage stamp garden. Independent multi-generational living should be the future but feels impossible in SE; unless youāre a millionaire.

So true. UK reader here. In the early 80ās my (single) mum tried to buy a flat and was refused - even though her salary was more than sufficient, the bank wouldnāt let her have a mortgage without a male guarantor. I love it that Danny and the team show actual examples, rather than just explaining some scientific explanation and assuming you will believe it without question. Itās one of the things that elevates the Uncanny brand.
I also love how professional Evelyn is. She may be a believer, but she still conveys a healthy dose of scepticism with her intelligent & informed responses. Some paranormal experts can appear frivolous or gullible, but she exemplifies rationality & is thus a perfect proponent for the subject.
Ciaran is excellent. So often, a sceptic can come across as patronising or even contemptuous. But Ciaran is so open-minded & his offerings are always thoughtful & measured. He never mocks anyone & seems genuinely interested - even willing to be proven wrong. He & Evelyn really are a dream team.
Watched both episodes. Logged onto Rightmove, accessed my āSavedā properties of possible interest and firmly deleted the Georgian house with basement. Having second thoughts, for some reason š±š»šš #Uncanny
Have you tried these? I soak them for a couple of hours in veg stock then use them in things like stew. Really good, satisfying texture.

So much popular culture (TV etc) focuses on that period itās hardly surprising most people, if asked to describe āhistoricā outfits, would probably only identify Tudor (picturing Henry VIII), āKing Arthurā pointy hats (lol) and Sherlock Holmes related outfits. Maybe an Austen heaving bodice too š

I commute into London. Connections are hellish and prohibitively expensive. This would be my journey via public transport. I can drive door-to-door in 25 mins. Who wants 4 hours travel a day on top of a 12 hour shift? And donāt even get me started on the cost š¤¦āāļø

I have a theory for that. Up until 2013, BIUs were instrumental in preventing & disrupting gang-on-gang violence. But in 2014 the BIUs were essentially disbanded, with Intel being mostly centralised. Loss of Intel, loss of experienced staff, loss of focus - leading to temporary crime rise.
