Actually my doctor told me today to stop worrying about them because it was affecting my health. I’m sorry but I can’t just stop worrying about other people when they’re going through injustice, it’s just not in my nature.
I only buy groceries and essentials. Haven’t bought a single non-essential thing from a chain store (other than windshield wipers) since January.
If it helps I ask my VA doctors how they’re doing with everything whenever I go in. I’m sure it’s not common but I think most people feel too awkward to say anything as opposed them not being concerned. This is where it helps being neurodivergent because I’m so used to being the awkward guy lol

I’ll say something that helped me in therapy. Would it be better not to have the regret? No, because that would mean I didn’t learn from my experiences. Regret is what fuels me to be a better person. With time and action those feelings will subside and eventually I can be proud of who I’ve become.
I understand how you feel brother. I didn’t serve as long, 6 years, but in that short time I took part in more atrocities than my brain and conscience could even keep up with. All for what?
