Today’s delivery is #MastersOfTheUniverse New Eternia Moss Man, a character so big and green he might as well be selling frozen peas. An improvement over the masterverse original in every way.
Okay, that wasn’t too bad.
Late to the party on this one, but this Megatron is just a really solid, nice looking figure in robot mode. I have to admit that when I felt the size of the instruction book, I did not want to transform him. But also he looks really good in robot mode!

Tree-lined sidewalks are usually lovely, but can be quite annoying when you walk through several spider-webs in one late night walk. Between coyotes, skunks, and spiders, I really need to prioritize taking my walks during daylight hours.

I don’t really know Dragonball, but the siren call of super cheap Figuarts got me on this one. Neat little toy and very poseable for such tiny limbs.

Kylun is high on my list of figures maybe only I care about that I want in Marvel Legends. Pack him in with Widget and two swords and you’ve got an Excalibur-tastic pack. He’s even been released in the old Toybiz days so you could put him on a retro card.
I really want them to make a Tiger action figure next in GI Joe Classified. There is precedent in adventure team and the sigma six adventure team sets.

I have to admit, I thought this idea was dumb, but I gave the black light joker a try at 10 bucks at Ross and kinda like it. The footprint is kinda large for something like this, but the gimmick is kinda fun to look at.
They feel way more artist specific and cool.

This variant cover for Star Wars 7 is pretty great. I have a soft spot for Battle for Endor, especially the Marauder designs, so I’m a little sad that it doesn’t appear that the issue has anything to do with that movie.

That’s a good question that makes me think about my own buying habits. I was going to say for me it was this Jackie Chan figure, but I tend to buy roughly six inch scale figures, so they are all kind of companion pieces to each other.

None of my family watched Picard, so I can’t tell them how awesome it is to see Captain Shaw show up on this random episode of Psych. His character name is Frankjim Ogletree and he plays Gus’s boss.
Saw this blast from the past at the local nerd mall. I’m pretty sure this box set was was my first time seeing widescreen versions of the movies since I saw ROTJ in the theaters.
I kinda hate the stands. They take up a lot of real estate on the shelf and don’t fit together nicely.
I don’t normally collect Movie Maniacs type stuff, but I saw this Blues Brothers set at Ross for dirt cheap so I grabbed it. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time and I’d love good figures from it, but these will fill in until then. The Ackroyd likeness is decent, not so much on Belushi.

I forgot that I wanted to do some shots of the Cold Slither Dreadnoks using the classic Dreadnok gear in my review so I did that yesterday. I feel like Buzzer works best, though the pack is from Gridiron. The pack doesn't quite fit in the peg for Torch.

Black Series figures I still want: Nien Nunb. Give him a blaster rifle for the Battlefront vibes and a removeable pilot helmet for the sequel trilogy (and Disneyland) look. You can reuse the head to make Battlefront Rebel troops. Might be cool to give him a hinged jaw.

GI Joe Classified Law and Order are great figures, though the lack of knife sheathe is kinda driving me nuts. He’s got a vest, belt, and two leg straps, and a lot of gear is stored properly, so I feel like I’m missing something.
I picked up this Halloween Spidey at the nerd mall Saturday for cheap. I had to look him up since I don’t really know what’s going on with most modern comics. His name is Chasm and he’s evil Ben Reilly. I think he’s related to the Halloween girl, which is a figure I really like.
Over the weekend I went to this place in the North County of San Diego called Ninja Xchange. It’s basically an old hollowed out Sears at a mall that they filled with small toy vendors. It’s very much the type of vendors you find at SDCC near entrance A or Frank and Sons in LA.
The Desert Scorpion is one of my favorite new Classified reveals with some of the best figure photography they have done yet. I am a little concerned that I never got a good look at the havelock (the little cloth skirt of the back of the helmet). They always seemed covered up by the cloak.
I’m not collecting these lines, but they look good on the pegs.
Saw Battle Beasts in person for the first time since I was a kid and it’s shocking how tiny they are. It was tempting to get the cat in the brown armor.
I remember when they released all those tracks. Around the same time I had my first computer with a read/write cd rom so I made a CD of all those songs. Sometimes I forget that a lot of them never made official release.
When the lights came up after FF, some douchebag who was on his phone throughout the movie said he liked it despite the plot holes.
I’m not a gun guy, but I am tired of seeing these guns in legends. They have better ones they can use, so I wonder if it’s some kind of corporate mandate.
