Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

people on the right don’t tend to wait for any information about the motivations of the shooter before blaming the left. But Kirk had enemies on the right too; some of them surely live in Utah. And as with any shooting, the shooter’s motivations may not map onto any coherent politics at all.

I don't really feel sympathy for people who become victims of the violence they themselves help cultivate. Charlie Kirk is a monster who has implied that people he hates are less than human and deserving targets of state violence, and that gun violence is the price we pay for freedom. C'est la vie!

I genuinely don't think there should be all that much of a distinction between spitting AT someone and spitting ON someone. Either way, it's outrageously disrespectful and antagonistic, and I would go so far as to say that I understand Carter's reaction. Dak shouldn't get out of this with nothing.

I think Tank Bigsby is a RB who is entirely capable of handling a lot of carries. He grinds out yards after contact and has hit 20/21 mph before. But I'm confused about why the Eagles are sending draft picks for a RB with two years of team control when they have Shipley, Estime, and Johnson.

Nope, he's one of the most INT-prone QBs, has as many 300-yard passing games as Nick Mullens and Jake Browning, sucks in the playoffs (5 ints in 3 games), and provides nothing as a runner. That's why your team barely scrapes into the playoffs every year. Bye!

Depends on how you define "good!" I know the analytics like him, but he's one of the most INT-prone QBs in the NFL, has as many 300-yard passing games in the last two years as Jake Browning and Nick Mullens (3), contributes next to nothing as a runner, and has mostly played poorly in the playoffs.

Oftentimes, when someone says a college prospect's pass blocking is "good enough," that's a pretty good sign that it isn't. "Good enough" at the college level is a liability in the NFL. Good OTs have to get easy depth out of their stance, and they can't be straining and opening their hips vs. speed.
Kyle Sharing (@kylesharing.bsky.social) reply parent
Not sure why some teams place such an emphasis on run-blocking traits @ OT. I'm of the opinion that run blocking can be developed as guys develop technically and get stronger, but you can't teach the physical skill needed to pass block at a high level in the NFL.
