I felt like a superhero cause the first one was nbd. Then i had the second and the truck found me...
We ended up doing a half reno on our kitchen (new floor/counter/backsplash, kept appliances and cabinets) all because we went in there for a chair, i think. They had a marble 2x4 tile i fell in love with, and just enough of it to do the backsplash.
caked in dust and blood, I claw my way to the crest of the barricade with the last of my strength. despite my broken body, I hear my voice croak out an old song of resistance. tears of hope leap to my eyes as my comrades take up the tune: five five dollar five dollar footloooooong (any any any)

Most folks I know have gotten the giggles on occasion during sexytimes because of something silly or absurd happening, like getting tangled or nearly falling. I see Tinglers as much the same - it all adds to the fun, so long as the intent is good and kind.
Oh boy. Turns out getting rear-ended means I'm getting totaled. First vehicle I got solely because i loved it, without worrying about practicality or cost (much). Lasted three years. And being upset about it seems very shallow, seeing it written down.

I just converted to cups since i was already using a slightly different flour and gauged more by how it looked (vs her insta video), so it wouldn't surprise me if the conversion is why. It seems to be a pretty forgiving recipe and it was delicious in the end!
I use 00 flour and tend to need more like 500 ml of water, so to any bystanders, don't be afraid to add more water if needed!

The Girl somehow got salmonella in Pre-K (caused full-body erythema multiforme, for extra fun), spent 4 days in the ped. unit because we couldn't pump enough fluids w/o IVs, spent the next SIX months checking poop every 2 weeks, & I'm convinced the long-term damage is her now-IBS. Do not fuck with.
I had my state map but out of town, i mostly relied on the big wall maps at rest stops, or asking at gas stations (and would write down what they told me), specifically because i didn't want that many maps in my glove box
It sucks so much. Season 3 was so good and all their work really came through, and I'm so sad for them (and us viewers/readers).

I machine wash all the work clothes I've bought from brands such as charter club, style & co, INC, cable & gauge, jm collection. Basically everything that's not a suit, or lined (tried machine washing lined once to see, it wasn't good). Just gotta go gentle, with cooler temps.
Friend in high school had a several month long migraine until one day she just didn't anymore. No answers and she's still around, so guess it was fine? Point is, bodies are ridiculous and i hope you get answers and relief soon. In the meantime, please have a dog who learned legs from a cat.

As a book person not sold on season 1, but grew to appreciate S2, I'm now caught up on S3 & very pleased! They threw plot points in Mat's dice cup & shaken them out a bit differently & it's really working well. Still have quibbles (royal fam) & nervous about next ep but it's really good! #WoTSkies

Amusingly, it's the olds that created it back in the early days when a graphic or pic took much longer to download than text on a web page, so a description or name filled that empty box while you waited. And screen readers could read it for those unreadable flashy geocities menu buttons

Replying to this because i think you'll find it as amusing as i did. Standing in the bathroom yesterday, the ear was so clogged (got off cycle with the antihistamines), that i did a valsalva while standing at the sink. 30 sec. later, The Girl opens her door and sees me with forearms and forehead
My kids are older now (20s) but I've discovered what works better than "no phones at dinner" is "you have to share what you're looking at." It moved things from silent/resentful to a table full of people eagerly going, "omg, watch this amazing video" which leads to much better convos

My immune system is a beast, thankfully. (I'm a weird legend at work for how little I get sick, comparatively.) Partner has missed a full week of work & feeling death, I'm mostly just occasionally hacking up a lung & have too much post-nasal. The drug mixing is great for helping to dry out, though!
This annoying cold thing (not covid, per testing) is now making my ear slosh. Thanks to @rahaeli.bsky.social posting about mcas (I'm not, I just like learning), I have no fear of mixing & matching, in appropriate doses, all the various anti histamines in my closet! Thanks rah!
