As a permanent resident (green card holder) I was very much aware an infraction such as a DUI was a deportable offence. I kept my nose clean & lawfully surrendered my green card when I returned to Canada in 2020. I will not go back because they will probably say I did not surrender it correctly.
I would not travel to Germany in the 1930's and there is no difference between that and amurika today. We will no longer travel 5 months a year in the US during winter.
We used to travel to the southern US states for 5 months every winter. No more but we have a home in Canada unlike many who RV 24/7 365 days a year. I personally would get a small sticks and bricks in Canada and travel to other countries. I hate winter with a passion but I survived last year :-(
