I remember at a funeral home for a visitation comforting two recent college grads that there pastor wouldn’t be persecuted over his refusal to perform a gay wedding due to the First Amendment, which they were worried about. I was 20. That was such an insane time.
We would kill as many people as possible to avoid trapping middle aged men at home with their families they despise.
As well as “the attack on the American family” by letting gay people marry and adopt. You can’t vote for the Democrats. You’re endorsing something God calls abominable. You *must* be a Republican to defend the family.
I had someone want to debate me on that this morning. When I made it clear I wasn’t interested in it, he wrote me three more replies. These people act like the school closures were the greatest crime against humanity of the 21st century.

As to the main point, we are asked every day to care about how Trump voters feel and why. I don’t care about the bars being open on Hawaii, and if they still do in 2025, that sounds like a skill issue to me.
The wild thing is that many churches that aren’t fundamentalist fully supported being closed. The clergy didn’t want to kill their most vulnerable members. People still using that as an excuse for radicalization aren’t hiding their real reasoning.
