As some have pointed out, tariffs are imposed on wholesale prices, which would have been $20 or $25, or a $4-$5 tariff. So where does the other $5 go? To secondary inflationary effects, which belie the idea that tariffs are a one-time change in price level rather than inflationary. We’ll see!
