Grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness. Had to study the Bible so much I could’ve written the sequel. Now I know it better than most preachers — which is exactly why I can’t stomach it.

Right, because if books really had that kind of power, half the people waving the Bible around would’ve turned into shepherds, carpenters, or fishers of men by now.
