Truly. It’s nearly impossible to pick just one line because it’s all so exceptional. “I have reason to believe that we all will be received here in Graceland” makes me tear up
The line “she comes back to tell me she’s gone. As if I didn’t know that. As if I didn’t know my own bed. As if I didn’t notice the way she brushed her hair from her forehead” is the type of thing that makes you want to put down a pen and never pick it back up.

The thing about My Lunch is that it shows just how deadly rabies is, but they soften the actual manifestation of that disease. Rabies is horrifying! You could have it and not know it until it starts to present months later! And at that point, it's going to kill you, and there's no way to stop it
