This story should not have been published. They hint at an accusation (Mamdani said he is black to get into a fancy college) they can't back up. That this was published tells me that Mamdani's most important opponent may not be Cuomo or Adams but a paper whose NEWS section will run stuff like this.

For those just catching up: ICE abducted more people after dismissing cases at their immigration hearings in Chicago today. Simultaneously, ~10 people were reportedly detained at an ISAP location in the S Loop, ICE assisted on scene by CPD. Feds assaulted crowd there and drove off.
We are at 2245 S Michigan now where organizers and electeds are holding a press conference after agents detained at least 10 people today. A representative from Organized Communities Against Deportation speaks about ICE taking people who are currently in asylum proceedings and appeals.
Second half of immigration court hearings have begun at 55 Monroe in Chicago. We can't film inside or are kicked out. Before lunch, we watched ICE take a half dozen people into custody after DHS dismissed their cases. It's happening in courthouses all over, including NYC at this exact moment.
Organized Communities Against Deportation organizers & Chicago alders now speaking on today's events at the ISAP facility. OCAD organizer says one of their members was told to come to the facility for a check-in, and did not come out as planned (sorry its sideways, don't know why it's doing that).
