What I found funny in Wahammer (both Fantasy and 40K when I played some 20 years ago) was how every book depicts its faction as supreme and inevitable. It makes you feel like you chose the best faction and nobody else stands a chance and very much refuses to help you empathize with other factions.

I tried real hard to build that little guy for a while but nothing came out satisfactory. That's a bummer too cause I really like Orcs.
I used to wait a few months before building new decks. (I stopped building new decks and scrapped 20 of them 2 years ago). I prefer giving less popular commanders a chance to shine and it keeps other players on the edge cause they never know what's coming.

Remember when we could track time by set release? According to my internal Magic calendar that was about 70 years ago.
Loved it at first, then drop rates started noticeably going down for everyone and then they upgraded trading and drop rate fell again. People complain, it goes back up for a few weeks then drops again. To me that's not the kind of game I want to play.

Migloz is a card that instantly made me happy when I looked at it for some reason I can't quite explain. When that happens I usually have two options: 1- Do whaterver I need to do to make it work; or, 2-Do something a bit silly but flavourful. This one screamed silly.

The insane set release made me take a step back from Magic for almost two years. Coming back full of blind spot and not caring for most UB stuff has left me with a very "meh" attitude towards the game. I spend less money on it and don't actively seek spoilers But playing with friends is still fun.

My philosophy with UB is that it needs to "feel" like a Magic card for me to care. So LotR worked but Fallout didn't and this is 100% disconected from my appreciation for the IPs. FF was a weird set because of the divergence in look between games so some cards appealed to me while others didn't.
