If you’ve had a dose or doses in the past, one shot should be good. You can also ask for titers to check immunity, but that’s more time and money than getting a shot.

Yes! Offering CEU workshops for dieticians and mental health professionals would be amazing! My family worked with an ARFID-focused dietician and it made a huge difference after more traditional advice was basically “eat more” and being threatened with inpatient treatment.

Awesome, thanks! My college kid developed ARFID after an intense, prolonged illness (superior mesenteric artery syndrome) at age 16, so we are all still learning a lot. Her college has been great with accommodations, luckily.

I’ve noticed that is has once again become normal to openly discuss and conjecture about body sizes, shapes, and fluctuations in the workplace. Mostly with effusive praise for anyone who has gotten smaller.

What about understanding GenAI in educational settings specifically requires partnership with Microsoft, Anthropic, and OpenAI? Some students know a lot about prompting but that doesn’t mean they actually know much about GenAI. We could use a harm reduction framework to really educate about GenAI.

This exciting resolution from Rutgers University Senate is exactly the kind of model I think higher ed needs: a mutual defense pact of, in this case, Big 10 schools. They call for member institutions to create a joint defense fund and make resources available to any member institution under attack.

I also don’t have any research, but I introduce body doubling and create accountability groups within my senior thesis course. We use the How to ADHD body doubling video as an intro and we also help students make structured time for writing and sharing their writing schedule and goals within groups.

I don’t think that’s always true. I was never anti-vax, but after experiencing medical abuse and severe disinformation when my daughter was born, I had PPA/D and mistrust in doctors. I think that’s on overlooked factor. Once I was able to take in trustworthy info, I became super pro-vax.

FYI CUNY faculty: Public Safety should prevent ICE from entering campus unless they have a warrant. If they have a warrant Public Safety are to escort ICE to that campus' Legal Counsel, who will call CUNY Central Legal Office, who will call NYS Attorney General. ICE should NEVER enter a class.
