100%. I get a bit emosh about it too. Most of my friends were a minimum 30 minutes away too, spread all across the city. Very rarely had an impromptu thing, no quick cuppa because you’re passing.

Really enjoyed reading this. It chimed a lot. We just moved house in a mad frenzy and it was really challenging to find a place inside the Paris walls. A big part of me clinging to those walls was that sense of community - the friends who pop the kettle on and give you admin tips. 💙🤍❤️

Orly is much better. Now has metro connection via line 14. CDG relies on awful RER B and some terminal ends are absolutely miles to walk to. Security and passport controls also frequently understaffed and super slow at CDG

Having moved to France 5 years ago, it’s stark to me that the NHS operates on a ‘bare minimum’ policy basis. Once you live with a system that is proactive, online, where admin is not all centred on a GP, you begin to see how much better the NHS could be
