And surprisingly it even works! I got a sticky-pokey deviceβ’, and found a piece of plastic that, when held down moves the tape "holder"-sticks towards the sides of the cassette, and tugging on the release latch made it go backwards and very forcefully pop the adapter tray. It really is Heavy Duty!

I also found a SVHS adapter from Panasonic. Don't know how it got there, since we don't have any small VHS cassettes in our home, nor do we have recording equipment for it. But not only is it there, it even has a battery in it!

After watching this, I went through the collection of ancient media in my family's drawers, and we had both - Video 8 and VHS. The camcorder definitely used Video 8 only though.

At least that's what I remember from my family's cooking, it's always thin slices at the bottom and a few cm of the "pie itself" on the top. Though, then the bottom is kinda soggy, since it's literally made of baked apples, and isn't covered with pie contents. A classic Charlotte recipe, so to speak
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
Maybe I'm wrong, and it doesn't work the way I'll describe it, but I'll try anyway: If you put thinner apple slices at the bottom, preferably on a buttered baking paper, and carefully cover it with the pie contents themselves, it should be more visually appealing. Thinner slices, or a taller fill.

"different" might be an understatement, I guess, because in most real life cases you can use an adapter or something, which isn't really the case with learning a new program/add-ons and plugins for programs. Imagine something close in form, but absolutely incompatible. E.g SATA/NVMe m.2 drives
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
I suppose a comparison with a different brand, that uses different standards would be a better analogy. Like you could use this other camera, but it requires a different set of add-ons and/or understanding of processes. The end result (a photo) is Β± the same, but how you get there is different.

Not really. You can upload 60 FPS videos, and they are honest to goodness 60 FPS. You might be thinking about <720p qualities, which have half the frame rate of a video (for 60 - 30, for 30-15, and so on). But I doubt anyone is uploading 480p videos nowadays.

No, meguka, you can't just tap-tap-tap your life away...
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
Tried it on an older 1165G7, and in native 1080p it's half decent, 30 fps without any problems if I remember correctly. Hopefully DDR5 memory will make it an even better experience.

Is the option to choose different color pairings gone? Previously there was tradic, similar and one more, IRRC, but I don't see a choice for this in the latest version π€
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
Ah, its proportions are very similar to the one in a drawing, understood.
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
So it's a cylinder about 2 cm in diameter, and, probably, 0.25/0.4 cm in height? Not too big. Though that's a supercapacitor π€

*clarification, a complete controller, with D-pad and the other buttons Β± the L/R top buttons
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
I just want to see a ridiculous setup in which something like FW16 is used as a PSP controller, and the same (or for more hilarity, a different) laptop runs a PSP emulator to actually play a game with a controller the size of both your laps.
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
Realistically speaking though, since it's on the back, does that mean that you have to play with your laptop upside down?
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
Was there any explanation as to what is the reason for your organization (it seems) being flagged/disabled?
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
Both variants are fire though
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
True, true. You deserve some award for persistence too π

π€ but your's doesn't actually use SI units, since a meter is a unit of length, and a millimeter is a derivative.

The video with sliders, I'm talking about: youtu.be/zwAD6dRSVyI And vectors are neatly shown in one of the latest videos on quantum computing: youtu.be/RQWpF2Gb-gU Sorry for adding two links, but hopefully this is helpful, or at least is in the direction of what you were asking about.
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
From @3blue1brown.com's videos, you can try vectors and/or sliders. They're no 2/3D diagrams, but they're quite easy to read. IRRC you've used sliders in past videos. If it's just 4 parameters you can use a slider and a 3D object, perhaps. But as others have said more dims => harder to visualize.

I didn't pay for the Monopoly DLC so Super Saiyan it is.

Pretty sure this should be addressed some place else, but I can't be the only one wondering about it, so might as well ask here: When the stylus comes out (r/n it's "soon"), will it be possible to add one to the existing (pre-) order? For example batch two starts in July, so there's plenty of time.
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
My uneducated guess would be - sub 700 USD, since they're using the 13th gen processor. I'll be pumped if it is going to be even cheaper like sub 500, but find this quite unlikely. The FW13 main board for 13th gen I7 costs about from 5-700, so I'd expect FW12 to be just a tad cheaper?
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
I guess it shouldn't matter to the public at large. Only the developers and/or "nerds" (in a good way) are going to be interested in that. The developers care as to how and why the customers browser does, or doesn't render the page, or process a redirect. Customers don't, they only see the problem.
Banana Llama (@llama-banana.bsky.social) reply parent
Ah, my favorite browser - Firecat

The most painful part is that this is internally consistent with what's happening, so that outcome (and intent) is not out of the question.

Hi, first of all - it's nice to see that an actual person took that particular handle (I had to flip the banana and llama parts around π), but I've also noticed that this series is incomplete. Will you be finishing this one?
