While I can understand the logic of not wanting to engage in a direct row with a far-right narcissist who has a platform of 225m people, the extreme caution is different to even January, when Starmer hit out at Musk's "lies and misinformation" over grooming gangs.
And Farage is their front man here. It's why he's in the US now rather than representing his constituents.
The reason the far right is doing so well in the UK and across Europe now is because unlike under Biden, the US is now waging information war against us alongide Russia. A sustained, increased, coordinated tsunami of disinformation.
Politics today is less driven by ideological conviction and more by parties chasing votes based on a distorted picture of public opinion, one filtered through algorithms that amplify emotionally engaging content. This incentivises performance over substance and erodes democratic deliberation.

Perhaps part of it is that society tells you as you grow up that men tend to die first, and women tend to be more aware that it's likely they will outlive their partners (like their gran often did). So are they mentally more expecting of that happening, and with generally better support groups?
