It was a little weird that he decided to go to the police when he was beaten up and bloody but that’s okay. I really like this show because it’s a unique blend of genres & the characters are real (except for the imaginary ones 😀)

I really liked most of the episodes-loved The Golden Globes ep-but this finale didn’t work for me. Too much yelling for the entire episode. But I really love the biting satire so I’ll be back for season 2 😊

That article was good but failed to mention how Gaitok is just as superficial as Mook. Why did he like Mook besides for how she looked? I didn’t hear 1 line of dialogue that said he liked her for her personality.

For me, it’s 1,2,3. I loved how Tanya’s story had a huge twist in 2 but I hated the cheater guy and his father & had no interest in the power couples either. Also after loving Armond in S1, I wasn’t into Valentina but I’ll try to watch S2 again sometime. Maybe I’ll like it more.
He liked her for her looks, she ended up liking him for his “success” - that’s such an old cliche we see all the time. Unless I’m missing something.
Oh I’m sorry! I used to live in LA so I’m pretty cynical. The themes of superficiality weren’t surprising with Mook & the security guard or the 3 friends or the Ratliffs but at least Belinda’s was.

Even if HBO is pressuring him, I find it hard to believe he can’t figure out how to write 8 great episodes unless he’s working on another show and doesn’t want a writing staff. I knew the son wouldn’t die for exactly that reason. It wouldn’t fit with MW’s style.

Next season tho, I’m gonna wait for reviews. I feel like I totally wasted my time except for the Belinda storyline. And even then, just needed to see the finale because I wanted to see what happened with her.
And that’s BS because we all saw him checking out his brother days before that party where they got high and kissed.

Do you mean Belinda’s storyline or all of them? I found Belinda’s finale well written and sad on a couple different levels. This season seemed to be more of a statement piece rather than stories about characters as S1 and 2 were. I think it could’ve been both if written differently.
Yeah, I think it was just the “safer” question for him to ask since it wasn’t about their relationship. Asking about the business, their relationship or just saying okay, reveals who he is, as all dialogue does. I thought it was a good line for someone who isn’t “direct.”
It’s not what happened in the White Lotus finale that bothered me, it was all the episodes leading up to it. The writing didn’t let us truly get to know the characters. The episodes were slow & superficial. Belinda’s ending was a profound statement but it wasn’t enough to save S3 for me, sadly.
Maybe he didn’t want to put her on the spot. Also that would be painful to hear her making up some excuse. I felt so bad for him.

We are watching the Severance finale with Maggie, who we adopted this week, and from her expression it’s clear that she is NOT caught up.
I’ve never had a tortie. Got her at the shelter in Dec. She was 4 months old & feral. She’s adjusting so well!

I was happy to hear Belinda was coming back from S1 but her storyline is so boring. Maybe she’ll get justice for Greg tho. Hope something happens in all the storylines next episode!

I do too. It was so hard to get thru the latest episode. To me the first season was exceptional, including the music. The 2nd season got interesting about halfway thru w/Tanya. Do you think this season will pick up with a twist or something?
