Oh yeah, Europe has tons of racism, unfortunately. It just tends to manifest a bit differently than in the US, and has historically been more aimed at our neighbors or local ethnic minorities, with the differences a lot more subtle and/or petty than the White/Black division in the US.

There have been plenty of cases of Trump voters being dismayed, because they didn't think he "really" meant many of the things he said he'd do, and because they didn't understand what all that stuff would actually *mean*, whether it was tariffs or deportations or anything else.
Note: I'm not excusing the Trump voters! Their gullibility, willful ignorance, and overall lack of awareness is unforgivable. I'm saying they voted for an imaginary Trump they put together from their hopes and fears and out-of-context snippets on Fox News, a Trump who cares about his voters.
