And I'm pretty sure that a whole lot of the people voting for Trump didn't vote for what he's been doing.
And I'm pretty sure that a whole lot of the people voting for Trump didn't vote for what he's been doing.
Counterpoint: they voted for “let him do whatever he wants, no matter what the law may require”. Which would imply: yes they did.
Pretty sure he said he was gonna be like this all along.
He sure did. There is zero guile about this idiot. Which is why he’s the worst negotiator on the planet.
Most of the Trump voters I know who say they dislike what Trump is doing are the lifelong Republican voters and even ALL OF THIS won't sway them to changing how they vote in the future. And I know a lot of younger Trump voters who are enthusiastic about what he's doing.
It’s an amazing in-group/out-group signifier, isn’t it.
Note: I'm not excusing the Trump voters! Their gullibility, willful ignorance, and overall lack of awareness is unforgivable. I'm saying they voted for an imaginary Trump they put together from their hopes and fears and out-of-context snippets on Fox News, a Trump who cares about his voters.
There have been plenty of cases of Trump voters being dismayed, because they didn't think he "really" meant many of the things he said he'd do, and because they didn't understand what all that stuff would actually *mean*, whether it was tariffs or deportations or anything else.
They did. He ran in this.
