I've been a designer and developer for 26 years and 24 of those have been spent being told this career path is irrelevant because AI or some GUI tools will replace us. GenAI is just the next iteration of an attack against creatives and critical thinking. It'll pass.
It's professionals of all levels. My job relies on AI and heavily debugging it's garbage code or subcontractors garbage code. There is no difference anymore. Model degradation and collapse is a real thing, and it seems the humans who blindly rely on GenAI are following suit.
