So you only want us to bid for players that we can def get. Harrison cost £11m played 200 & scored 30 goals - that's reasonable. Joseph is still our player and will get game time. Yes, not every action a club takes is successful but to suggest we aren't stronger is just false.
They would have to had sold £7-10m of players by June deadline. Same applies to any January signings.

This is where I have a bit of sympathy for the #lufc board. They clearly thought they had a better playing offer for him (they do) and would have been a great addition. What could possibly have gone through a players mind going to Chelsea.
I'm interested to see if we move more permanently to a 4-3-3 & see Tanaka in a more advanced role in winnable games. I like the flexibility in our midfield 5. I've liked Nmecha so far and could see him getting goals if he gets on a roll. I still think we are 1 short but the hyperbole of some fans.
Disappointing end to the window. Feel we need more going forward but the rest of squad looks good. I don’t know if the shift from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 reduced their desire for a no.10 or we have shifted as a result of not having one. For sure fans will blame owners if lack of goals takes us down. #lufc
Probably a good signing for NUFC but £55m for a 28 year old FWD who averages less than a goal every other game says everything about modern day pricing. £50m seems to be the standard for one good season.
I don’t know. We don’t know the clauses in those contracts or their salaries. If they go down (which is still likely) they could end up on brink of collapse. Their squad has no depth and apart from Xhaka no PL experience. Let’s get to Xmas and see how good those signing are. #LUFC need a top fwd.

A bit harsh but it’s all raw. Thought Stach and Tanaka were too far up in the early stages so we couldn’t compete to ease the pressure. We played like we could hold possession when we should have knocked it down channels. It was a good lesson going forward. Arsenal away is top 3 hardest games.
Big reality check. Not played a team this good or got a hinding like this in a long long time. A bit naive to not just clear it a bit more and be more direct. Players put in effort, didn’t give up but outclassed. Our season won’t be defined in these games. #lufc

I don’t disagree. The idea of Pascal would be if Farke wanted to test a three at the back in defensive situations with some who could step forward as well. Gruev could do similar but doesn’t have the same physical presence. I like Gruev.
Haven’t seen how bad Ampadu’s knock is. I’d be tempted to put Striujk to cover Amps and give Tanaka 45 minutes. Arsenal is a free hit. Newcastle has potential for points.

Seeing bang average players go for £30-40m is crazy. I like what we have done so far but would welcome a couple more players.
They’ve had a good start but their squad remains thin. We have solid backups across the pitch accept no.10. Both have an advantage over many with incredible home support. We really need to use it to get home wins.
ER will be rocking. Piroe brace. Need to carry the end of last season’s positivity forward. I really like our midfield options. I’m optimistic for the season. 8/10 transfer window- I’d like two more. Let’s see what DCL can do when fit I want a magic no.10 though we don’t seem to be looking.

As fans we focus so strongly on players performances and under estimate the value of players like Josh. Farke always references squad harmony and the balance in the dressing room. By all accounts Josh had a huge impact. Wish him well. #LUFC

I think the club will want him in the Prem. We are going to be without the ball a lot and need our no.10 to do a lot of closing down. We certainly need additions in that space but he has a role.

We have “good in lower divisions and might be good in premier league” in Piroe. We need a solid proven premier league goal scorer.
I don’t think wanting to replace Greenwood, Bamford or Gelhardt is surprising but we need someone to take them. I don’t mind Vardy or a Wilson as an experienced option but we need someone that will score 15 in 30 games.

Pretty fair assessment. Games will be very different next season and we need players who press and fit. I think we need to go big on a GK, AMC, FWD. then 4-5 solid experienced Prem players. God knows how we do that for 150m. I wouldn’t be surprised if Farke likes the work rate of Aaronson in Prem.
I thought Kinnears comments pre-season on needing to buy PL experience in the early years gives us a sense of direction they will take. Go big on a GK, AMC and FWD then bring in 3-4 PL journeymen. We we need a squad not an 11. 💯 behind Farke. Knows how big the step up is but will be backed. #LUFC
Always a good theory to get players in early but in reality if you want players from bigger clubs than ours then we are often in a chain waiting for them to bring in a better player. It would be nice though to have an early marque signing to show potential players where our ambition is.

This what happens when you have a strong squad but never rotate. Squad loses match fitness and starters are exhausted. Same story two years in a row.
It does seem the owners are investing in the club which is what we all want but it’s so sad that fans now need to become financial experts. I want as to abide by spirit of rules but appears most clubs don’t care.

I have no issue with not getting a 10 in January or summer but it’s the position we need to go big on in the summer. If we had got Hamer we would still be looking for another one this summer.
I'm equally pissed we've lost to Pompey but since beginning of Feb we've beaten 2nd and 4th. Drew with 3rd. Scored 19 in 7. Manager of the Month, 2 players nominated for player of month. Who would you have signed? The others new signings haven't done anything.

Team strong enough to win comfortably. Disappointed not to see Rothwell but if we aren’t playing him Farke needs to be prepared to make an earlier sub to change the game if it’s not working. Not leave it to the last 20 minutes.

Spending unnecessarily and reducing our PSR headroom and risking squad unity would also be a stupid idea. We would have just spent £10m on a player that would be surplus next year. Instead we smashed out 5 wins.
I’m sure some will be happy to see him leave but he leaves with the club in a better position than when he arrived. In time, I think we will see the last five years as the time we started to reestablish ourselves since 03.
Big fan of Solomon but there are a plethora of wingers out there. There are very few players who lead the front line.
We are still quite a way off. Kinnear in the summer said we lacked was a solid set of premier league experience. We are still missing this. Look at Summerville last season and this. Bogle & Firpo can’t be this attacking in the Prem. Doesn’t mean we need wholesale change but 5-6 proven prem players.
I know it’s probably unrealistic but this is who I’d like #lufc to make a marquee signing in the summer. Club is going to need to be bold.
