So, no, we did not steal their land. Was Palestinian land taken when Israel was formed in 1948? Yes. Some abandoned their land out of fear, some from coercion by Israelis and some by coercion by Arab forces. But they should all receive restitution.
Because that land has always been central to Judaism. In literally every prayer service across all Jewish denominations, there is always a prayer that next year we meet in Jerusalem. Jews have always been there, as have Palestinians, and Bedouin and the Druze (for the last 1200 years or so).
How can you colonize your home? Jews were in the area for several thousand years before being removed in 70 CE. They started moving back several hundred years later. There was already a large number there when the Zionist movement began in the late 19th century. Why?

While I am not a fan of the police generally, they are useful in this situation in a number of ways. Their presence can discourage bad actors. They can hit a button an a ton of cops will show up VERY quickly. And they have more equipment to use in an emergency

To be sure, both parties have supported ICE in the past. But Trump has given ICE more cops than the FBI, more jails than the federal Bureau of Prisons, and a larger budget than most countries' militaries. This isn’t business as usual. This is a fast track to full-blown dictatorship.

I already addressed why there are fears about his support or antisemitic violence, even if it is in his proposal. Just curious, do you and your friends tell this to other groups LGBTQi, blacks, hispanics, just don't worry about what the candidate supports. Or is it just the Jews?
What I really think is he is a good guy who I align with mostly on issues and he does not want to piss off his base and condemn these phrases. But by not saying these phrases are not OK, he is giving them license to use them. And this leads to violence.

I cannot find video evidence of him actually uttering that phrase. I can find plenty of evidence of him defending it, saying it is not a big deal, which is pretty damning but, no, I cannot find a video of him actually uttering those words. Just that he supports those who do. No real distinction

He has used the phrase in the past. And I am aware of his funding for programs to combat antisemitism, which is great. But what I, & others, are worried about is him saying there is funding for these programs and then pulling it to direct funds towards other hate crimes such as Islamophobia
None of the others have ever used the phrase. But Mamdani has in the past and the others have condemned the use of the phrase. Why is it difficult to condemn using a phrase that calls for the death of others, no matter their religion or ethnicity?

Joy, I have nothing but respect for you but that Daily Reid on Mamdani was incredibly biased and disrespectful to the real fear of the Jewish people. This does NOT excuse the islamophobia against Mamdani, which I condemn. Nor does it show support for Netanyahu & his policies, which I despise
