I’d have to try and dig out the quote but when Rhun Ap Iowerth was asked about PR letting in Reform, his response was along the lines of “I don’t like it but that’s democracy. It’s my job to convince you not to vote Reform, not to block it.” and we have to be that honest about PR.

But how much of that demand is preventable and can be mitigated? My wife’s aunt is in hospital and has been for weeks. She’s simply waiting for a sign-off and placement in a non-AE hospital but those cheaper spaces aren’t available. Improving pre and post care should be more cost-effective for OAPs

I was coming out of Christianity at the time, and you could see a pattern in Dawkins’ targets, on the Christian side he’d only go for poor whites or Africans with the energy of religion is bad because these people are dumb. When I was a team leader I had to train my staff to do that as part of their day job. Even outside of labour disputes, companies try to instil that collectivism/above and beyond mentality. Literally told them they needed to just do their job so I could argue for more staff to reduce their pressure.

Isn’t this framing an issue? We know of Israel’s actions against Palestinians prior to October 7th. So if Israel was within its rights to respond to the October 7th attacks, by that reasoning Hamas (technically Palestine’s government) had the right to respond to Israel’s continued attacks prior.
