This is was my second favorite book of the Krakoa era, just behind Hellions. I really appreciated the conversation surrounding punishment, restorative justice, and nation building you absolutely have to have while engaging with this text. Highest recommend along with this podcast episode!

People question if photographers will survive in the era of "everyone has an instant camera." Yes, people will continue to pay photographers, 1. it's not that much money and 2. photographers will compose your shots better. I know people hate to hear that skill matters in 2025, but it just does.
Yes, people can snap photos of anything and everything, fill their hard drives with shots, throw IG filters on, and smooth their faces with AI, etc. Hiring a photographer is a fundamentally different experience. It's an act of self-love for a lot of people, which I think is beautiful.
DWJ is now 3/3 for Matt puts off reading a book until he absolutely has to and then holy shit itās one of the best comics heās read in a long time. Riley Rossmo is also brilliant and now I HAVE to read his and Orlandoās Martian Manhunter. #comicsky

Generation X vol 2 is almost explicitly about kids who arenāt going to become X-Men (and Bling and QQ who resent being told that) itās pretty great. Some of Wolverine and the X- Men might have the tone youāre looking for maybe.

I mean I basically agree, though I do have affection for Origin. I just think that itās a neutral thing, the existence of that backstory. A good writer can take advantage of that baggage and make something great. I would say Ahmed is doing a good job at just that with Logan, his mom and Mastermind.
A piece of comics conventional wisdom I disagree with is that Wolverine is less interesting with his mysterious backstory fleshed out. perhaps heās less mysterious but mysterious is not the same as compelling. I like Loganās baggage. Itās unwieldy in a way that feels like a life. #xspoilers #xmen

Iām blown away how much @allisonparent.bsky.social has liked Age of Apocalypse. Itās an event I didnāt have a ton of affection for the first time I read it, but in conversation with my spouse (and in our current hell world) a lot of the themes hit harder and the art is unimpeachable. #xspoilers
