Many moons ago I interviewed at Facebook and was asked to pitch them a new feature idea. I suggested something around monitoring at-risk signals for depression and surfacing resources to help users. Now those same signals are probably used for targeting antidepressant advertising. Bleak.

Finished Avowed yesterday, what a delightful game. Aesthetically gorgeous, solid story with real consequences to decisions, well written companions (even wet blanket Marius) and combat that was tight and satisfying. They also gave you incentive to explore, with stuff hidden everywhere. Recommend!

Early on I actually got a dialogue option where I literally pickpocketed 300 gold off the ambassador while he talked about something boring. Game is great, there’s depth there for anyone who persists to see it. I make a point not to listen to the smooth-brained haters.
