Got redistricted out of one of 37 competitive congressional seats in nation in 2022. Felt like crying. Probably worse in state legislatures. They don’t even campaign or respond to calls.
My grandfather was a janitor at the high school. Students adored him (spoke to him constantly when we were out and about). They were lucky to know him and they knew it.
