Alden hasn't paid for enough editors at the Daily News for a while now, so we're used to this.
The way in which the company tried to pretend we haven't been bargaining for THREE YEARS due to their extreme positions, as well as how they're pay increase fails to take into account the PAY CUTS we suffered during the pandemic, says a lot.

A local newspaper is a rare thing. It's the city's institutional memory, the chronicle of a place and its people, of problems to be addressed, of public promises kept or broken. New York needs the Daily News, and the Daily News needs the support of New Yorkers.

I'm hoping the series returns to those roots of having different, visually different filmmakers do the films. I love what the Cruise/McQuarrie partnership brought to the franchise, but I like what they were doing in the beginning.
The Daily News Union mourns the passing of Tom Robbins, brilliant journalist, beloved colleague, friend and mentor to many, and ally to this union. He will be missed.
At the end of the day... it's up the audiences when it comes to how much power AI will have over entertainment.

Because in the past, there was an expectation that defying courts would come at a cost. Trump doesn't believe he'll face any consequence... and quite honestly, I don't see that he will. If he ignores the judges, who's around to challenge him?

This is what Trump ALWAYS does. He goes out there and throws word bombs to manipulate the narrative, make noise, and sow confusion. Then the media tries to cover all of it, social media erupts in outrage and laughs, and regular folks just tune it all out.

I think what's disappointing about Destroyer is that Barbarian raised the bar significantly for sword-and-sorcery films. Then the sequel dropped it again. It's not terrible, it's just cheesy and cheap.
