If Farage drags us out of the ECHR, no one will have the right to live the way they want to. His government would have the power to decide who is or isn't "normal". I have always been puzzled by fictional super heroes when so many real heroes live amongst us. Those who strive to make their country fairer, work to abolish poverty and homelessness, those who fight racism and fascism. It was a full circle moment for me to step into Stockwell bus garage where my dad worked for over 20 years to see how Go-Ahead has made a state-of-the-art control centre fit for the 21st century.
I don’t fly flags, but this makes me proud. The son of an immigrant bus driver, brought up in a council flat and attending a state comprehensive school, can become the Mayor of London. We need immigration and should not shun asylum seekers and others seeking a better life here.
The outrage isn’t that Ghislaine Maxwell lied — that’s who she’s always been. The outrage is that the U.S. Department of Justice rewarded those lies with real benefits — and more are still coming. This isn’t justice. It’s a state-sponsored cover-up — and they think we won’t notice.
