Eye Lie Popeye is a very fun series. Starts off as a mystery of how Popeye lost his eye and turns into someone attacking the family for the Power of Popeye. Eventually leads to the kidnapping of Sweetpee
So far Peacemaker season 2 is just as great as season 1.

I need All star Western 3,5,6, and 9 to complete this run. I have all of the Brave and the Bolds with Batman team-ups. I have quite of bit before that there are some books in that run I will never have. Marvel mags don't have a lot but I do have almost all of the Hulk one.

Zero experience with the Lion King but this Scar book is really good as he forms an alliance with the Hyenas and they overcome their Queen. Scar ends up feeding the Hyenas in exchange for the loyalty against Mustafa.
Releasing a new Geek Brunch today and recording another Mike M's Weekly Reads. Bagging and Boarding Magazines today.
Yesterday's comic maintenance added the following: 166 new comic items (includes like 3 magazines and 3 collected editions). 84 back issues from mycomicshop and about 12 Kickstarters. That is a lot of comics for two weeks. All bagged and boarded, boxed and entered into the database.

I thought I would take a stab over the holiday to make video content again. Turns out it does not drive much interaction for the time spent to create it so probably won't do anymore. Just stick with what I know in podcasting and reading comics.

First issue was pretty good setting up an alternate version of the Batman in the future.
Very strange issue. This is about the government agent that uses her powers of touching and being about to give you the affects of any drug she can concoct up the formula for in her mind. 2nd issue she only is thinking about her husband when she is on a mission.

The Pirate avoids the gallows as he now as the attention of the Queen's consultant. Pirate suggests there might be like a Mason group that has worshiped Kaiju. The Pirate continues his tale and suggests the treasure be in the cave where Godzilla lives. This is the best Godzilla I have read.

Pop-up was about a woman who amassed several real murder artifacts and haunted items to make a haunted pop-up museum. Her daughter and her boyfriend are helping but when they announce they are leaving the ghosts of the museum come alive and murder them. Also murders of patrons. Cool story
These were cool. They came with the Overstreet Fan Magazine Spawn Fan Edition 1-3 featuring the first appearance of Nordic Viking Hellspawn in issue 1 and Mercy (Angel) in issue 3.

Savage Dragon fans need to pay attention to Juiceman. There is even a mention of Captain Tootsie. He takes on the Mind Freak and then guess who is going to start appearing Popeye!!!!

Even though I read issues 1 and 2 a long time ago I was able to jump right back in. This is about a Vampire that would turn people into Vampires for money. He eventually has to kill all those he created. This one focused on a vampire who who would crash into people and draw them to his car to help.
About a man that is running Gold for the queen and gets attacked by Pirates and is sent to his death but has vision of a Bear and becomes a Pirate. Later he is attacked by a Viking ship. I am a sucker for Pirate comics.
I am a sucker for a good Pirate comic and this one was. A Pirate is going to be hanged by the British but convinces them to hear a tale about treasure and dragons when he rode with Drake. Thought this was fantastic. Also in that box of to read books.
Cool cover. I never usually get variants unless Spawn or Savage Dragon. There was only a small window of time in my collecting where I even paid attention to 2nd prints. Probably won't again because it is the content of the comic I am most interested in.

2nd viewing. I really love the plot and execution of this movie. I think Namor was perfectly cast.

Been awhile since I read the previous issues so it was a little difficult getting back into this.
When you go to a Troma film, you know what to expect. I enjoyed the new Toxic Avenger movie. I thought I would be the only one there but there were another six guys in the theater.
Another series I need to get the last few issues from the storage unit. I am really interested to see where this goes because after issue one thinks just become bat shit crazy and I need to know what happens.
The Frank Miller Presents line of books did not last very long but I collected them all. In my to read pile I had Ancient Enemies. Dan Didio does a really good job telling a story with such a large cast of characters. Once I knock off these to read boxes and have to finish this series.
One of the goals this weekend is to finally finish reading Spawn: The Dark Ages. It is really good and the new creative team of Niles and Nat Jones are doing a fantastic job with Covenant. He was not a good human being but seeing him become the hero is pretty damn cool.
Going through the to read boxes before getting more books from the storage unit. Dark Spaces: Wildfire is amazing. Going to break my rule and go to storage unit tomorrow to get issue 5. This is about female prisoners that get released to put out fires and a heist gone wrong.
I like that my shop has comic supplies and especially the official comic drawer boxes with the dividers and anchors. Because I use Mylar for everything I find it easier to order by 1000 from eGerber every couple of months.
I like to chat with the owner and consider him a friend and even worked there a couple of times when he needed me. He usually buys new collections and gives me dibs on books. Some of my most valuable books have come from this LCS.
Good list. My most important is discount. That is why I don’t get everything at the LCS. I go though DCBS for most which is usually 30% or higher discount. My LCS still offers 25% off books, 20% off back issues and 10% if you have a pull with over 10 books.

I have too many. So have a full basement, one spare bedroom and another closet. I have had to extend into two storage units. So yes it sucks when you have to pay for extra space. Hoping to retire in a couple of years and get rid of at least enough of my collection to get rid of the storage units.
I am usually like Homer Simpson with donuts. This year trying to move to completing runs
My collection will roll over to 100,200 this week so hope it’s not hoarding. Do you read all of your weekly comics?

I never played or had any interest in Dungeons and Dragons. Sometimes I delve into the comics. Mindbender is a very good series because even though I don't know the characters I can follow this fantasy story and enjoy it.
Going through a box of unread indies. It had Eight Billion Genies #2 in it. Thought this was excellent and need to finish the series at some point. Told myself though not to get more issues from the storage unit until I read the boxes here at the house. This is good enough I will remember it.

Backstory on the new Kid Eternity and sure looks like he bad guys have the upper hand right now.
