idk if it will work on raccoons the same way it worked on squirrels, but I saved all my pumpkins last year by spraying them with bitter apple spray (made for deterring dogs from chewing on themselves) then dusting them with cayenne powder. the spray makes the cayenne stick! id reapply after rain
i love how being drawn in that way is impossible in 3d space. this is a perfect creature to me

whatβs wild is that humans probably discovered soap bubbles instead of inventing them.. so many plants naturally produce saponins and then you can wind up with weird shit like this situationally, like when saponins from english ivy mix with rainwater flowing down a tree trunk

iβve used some extremely cool heat-erasable ballpoints for sewing lately but theyβre all the gel pen style of smooth ink and not the so-fun-to-sketch-with oil-based ballpoint kind.. mayb someday pen technology will get there

OR.. for a more hands-off approach u can cover the plant in a fine-mesh cloth, loosely bundle it over it and tie around the pot with a string π anything from recycled sheer curtain to tule will work (larger mesh will need extra airspace between cloth & plant so butterflies canβt touch the leaves)
If itβs cabbage whites giving you problems, you can stay on top of it by checking the undersides of the leaves daily to mush any eggs you see.. they will look like near-microscopic yellow sprinkles standing on their ends. larvae also tend to hide on underside of leaves pressed into leaf vein grooves

printing a shirt is like 5x the time & effort of printing a patch lol i had no idea.. jersey fabric takes more physical exertion & pressure to print nicely & so much time is spent just prepping the t-shirt, like putting cardboard inside, aligning it to grid, laying down registration tape etc. whew!!
my fav mix-ins are golden raisins, walnuts, brown sugar & cinnamon.. itβs cold wet oatmeal cookie in a jar
