well, in the usa there's a defined rating for movies and shows, and they have to abide by that rating. I believe books also should have those ratings, and children under the books rating, shouldn't be able to read them till they are old enough, or the parent specifically signs a waver okaying it.
you're saying you turned out fine. great, I personally have a few experiences where I was introduced to NSFW content as a minor, and I did not turn out fine. and I just wanted to share my side, I developed a personality disorder, was it from the content? I cannot confirm, however It effects me.
In being forced. (you don't need to know why) to watch game of thrones at the age of 7, I still vividly remember everything. not because I enjoyed it. I understand not every child is me, but the more I grow up the more I realize how playdoe I was as a minor, everything effected me.
sex, any sort of nsfw, from gay, straight, queer relationships that don't fall under those categories. any sort of detail in material meant for adults. I just believe that kids (minors) shouldn't be shown any sexual materials. I was introduced to content I was not supposed to be when I was younger.

I believe that during 'the talk' children should be informed of attraction, tiny kids should only know what's inappropriate and what's not. I believe if it's telling a young kid to explore attraction no, if it's just two men who have a kid in a book just chilling go ahead I don't give a fuck.
Like I completely understand not wanting to silence authors informing history. That is beautiful and should never be banned from the public. But places where you aren't allowed to say poop because its offensive. Shouldn't have graphic novels...

Ahh me too! I told my mom I'd find a five leaf clover for her to be extra lucky. And after a few years I finally found one and showed her it. She remembers me showing her it but it was a few years ago when I saved it.
I saved it but, I'm not sure which book I dried it in. I'll try and look for it tonight.
