We called them hard rolls. Never heard that term till I moved out of Jersey. Yes. The kosher bakeries were the best. We can't get good rolls here. The secret is adding steam while they are baking. I do that when I bake certain breads. Toss ice cubes onto a cookie sheet on the bottom of the oven.

I have eaten it for breakfast. We sure do deserve it. We are the 99%. It was crazy windy and black cloudy. But of course nada again. But I really was thankful because that festival is so great. It's at a Franciscan retreat. So the vibe there soothes the soul as soon as you arrive.

I am the same. I didn't have things on my walls even though I had brought some from Jersey. But now I am having fun with it. I had concentrated on my yard. I recall the stones giving you some pushback but then magical beauty.

Whew - no plans today as Labor Day should be. Going to Casa Blanka to get more half price pottery. My front entrance will be so much prettier when I am done (I hope.) Later making my favorite fresh tomato, basil and mozzarella sauce. No cooking. Just toss with hot pasta. Then lots of parmigaino.
Thought yesterday was going to be a soggy. Nope again. Had a lovely time at the Franciscan Art Festival. @nelliethecat.bsky.social joined me along with another friend who recently moved here. We had so much fun. Lots of laughs and lots of treasure bought. How about this new addition to my artwork?

Wow. We had intense winds and serious black clouds. Was worried about going to the festival. But yet again, LC got punked.
We have one in Las Cruces but it has become more about crafts. But there are still some farmers selling lovely veggies. I get my tomatoes there. I believe there is also someone who makes flavored EVOO.
I have never driven there. More to explore! I am sure you will. We will miss having you live here. But won't lose touch. You will remain an NM Skeep.

Today going to the Franciscan Art Festival. Always a joy. A bit higher end than many of the festival so a must. Oh busy me having lots of fun.
Casa Bonita is in Mesilla. All their Talavera is 50% off this weekend. Since I am changing up my entrance area perfect timing. Got 4 more to add up front. Now I need to get plants so Lowes later.
Yesterday's protest was fun since it was not so hot with all the cloud cover. Didn't have as many as at the No Kings demonstration. But it is a holiday weekend and rain was predicted. Cowbell was a hit! Rain that didn't arrive. But the town of Dona Ana was hammered as I could see as I drove home.
Good Sunday morning #NMRollCall Eight years ago on Labor Day Weekend I hopped in my Elantra and bid New Jersey goodbye. Then I took off to my new home in New Mexico. Had bought my house already so it was a commitment based on hope and dreams. Sometimes you have to be bold and follow your heart.
