This bee (carpenter? male?) was on the floor of my garage, alive but not moving. I decided to try to get it someplace natural, not on concrete with a sprig of mint blossoms. It seemed to have some thing stuck on its foot? Anyway, dipped the mint sprig in water. We shall see what he does.

You are welcome! I forgot, I used a 28oz can of tomatoes.
And, with whole, canned tomatoes, I put them in a bowl first and squish them apart with my hands plus remove any bits that arenāt appealing (some areas where there was a stem not cut away thatās kind of toughā¦)
It all comes together in about 30 minutesā¦
SautĆ© the onion (diced) in olive oil, add the garlic (minced), sautĆ© until fragrant. Add tomato, broth, lentils, paste, herbs/spices to taste, bring up to a boil, turn it down, cover & simmer until the lentils are cooked. I find 20 minutes is usually good, check the package. Add fresh herbs last š
