Even though it's not an official part of the series, this is probably one of my top three Contra games.
None of those links worked. They sure looked real, but they weren't. It made the whole thing up, and even made up fake sources. And if you Google the name of the game, you'll get no results. AI is great at sounding real, but remember it's often smoke and mirrors. (3/3)

4 and Rogue felt more like they were transitional, setting things up for later. Unity and Syndicate didn't move anything forward at all, and I had my first child right after Syndicate, so I haven't played the RPGs yet. One day!
And the main reason I was excited about it was because I, like you, am into the modern day stuff, and if it was optional, there would be nothing stopping them from having plenty of it. No pressure to keep it short so people could get back to the historical fiction
I was actually excited when they talked about AC Infinity, and how the central hub would host all the modern day happenings, and then you would jump into the Animus for the main games. It seemed like the perfect compromise, where people who didn't want to do the modern day didn't have to

I think that's because all digital games will just be cheaper. This was meant to push people towards digital when the prices were the same, but now, those savings will just be baked into the price.

I also did Yakuza 0 over the course of several months, with other games woven in and out. I think that was a good way to do it, never got burned out on such a huge game

If it's just a hardware reveal, I'm expecting just a heavily edited, few minute video like we got for the Switch. That could very well be just a drop. Now, the software reveal, that'll be a big deal.
It's not confirmed, but the other games in the series stayed for only 1 year, and this was released early February, so it's a strong possibility.

I have one, love it. So much more comfortable than Kishi or Backbone. I wish the connector was longer so I didn't have to remove my phone case every time I attach it, but that's my only complaint.

It's eligible next year. The article even quickly mentions that in the end. Whenever the cutoff is, something good will be released right after that.
It's gotten to the point where I play a trailer, and immediately skip to halfway through, because they're always front loaded with cinematics. If there isn't gameplay at the halfway point, I'm on to the next trailer, and if there isn't gameplay THERE, I usually just move on entirely.
The Longest Journey was my favorite for the longest time, the only thing that might top it (for me!) is Unavowed
And FF10, because it didn't use ATB or have an overworld map. And FF9, because the characters didn't look realistic. And FF8, because of drawing magic. And FF7, because it was heavy on cinematics and had a three character party.
You actually don't need a keyboard! You can switch it to House of the Dead Overkill in the main menu, and shoot with the mouse pointer.
It's so weird seeing people post about how TV shows get canceled now, and they never did before. "Back in the day, shows were allowed to find themselves, and got at least three seasons!" Yeah, the ones you remember did.

Just got my Playstation 30th Anniversary Dualsense, and it even has a special microtexture, with the number 3 mixed in with the PlayStation shapes to make the number 30. Almost impossible to see with the naked eye, such a cool detail!
I remember a Criminal Minds episode where a character was into Dead or Alive, as a plot point, because it's a fighting game that's less about reaction and more about anticipating what your opponent is going to do. When it came time to finally show the game... it was just a generic light gun shooter.
