I would suggest this goes the other way too: if you hate Kirk, you should also hate political violence. Kirk was consumed by the forces that he spent his life encouraging: violence, guns, paranoia, hate. We reject Kirk & his legacy by condemning the kind of violence he would have laughed at.

Our community is showing that we can tackle big challenges, make life meaningfully better for all our neighbors, and collectively build a kinder, safer, more hopeful world. I'm grateful for everyone who chooses to be a part of it.
As the President declares that he's going to war with cities like ours—cities that welcome new neighbors and believe that our differences make us stronger—l'm reflecting on how important it is that we continue to do the work here in Saint Paul.
This weekend, like the last few weeks, has been a blur of community events, conversations with neighbors, meetings with advocates and organizers, and the feeling of possibility that comes with the start of a new season.

There's a increasingly wide gulf between what you might call "local abundance"—which largely consists of liberal and progressive activists and local electeds trying to do YIMBY-type things—and "DC abundance," which hosts conferences where Oren Cass is a speaker for some reason.

Have you melted into the ground yet out of adorable-ness, cuteness, and transit nerd-ness? No? Only me? Ok cool. But Ward 4 has an actual transit rider/bike user as our councilmember and I couldn’t be happier.
Children murdered because they went to school. Seniors shots because they went to mass. Public servants assassinated because they chose to serve. When will it be enough for us to decide that we deserve better? To acknowledge that we, quite literally, cannot live like this?

I’ve printed with Seven Corners for years, thinking I was supporting union labor and a good local employer. I found out this spring that it wasn’t the case, and obviously haven’t worked with them since. It’s a seriously bullshit situation. FWIW, I switched to Impact Printing and would recommend.

Voted early today! Was an easy choice to rank @mollycoleman.bsky.social first. Not only do we agree on policy but Molly has done the best job of explaining how she'll achieve her goals *specifically in her role on city counsel*. voting at Plato is open until 3 today. No lines while we were there.

I know it takes each of us some time and thought to wrap our head around this. But the only way to save the rule of law is to expand and reform the Court.
My only quibble with @mollycoleman.bsky.social for Ward 4 in Saint Paul is that the last 2 Ward 4 council members were past clients of @pentzhomes.bsky.social Molly's mom is a realtor so I won't hold that against her!
