We women have begged our legislators for decades to protect the children but instead, they send prayers. Prayers do not stop bullets.
No one is attacking private prayer. The problem is treating it as a substitute for action while in office, leaving solutions to divine intervention instead of doing your job. Kids being shot in a church isn’t God "working in mysterious ways" — it’s a failure of policy.
It’s continues to be despicable how the media has spent a decade normalizing the orange felon so much so that they are reporting on his authoritarian militarization of Washington DC as if it were a routine military exercise. They deliberately failed democracy for clickbait.

A little part of me envisions the beginning of a civil war when National Guard troops try to enter Chicago. Our National Guardsmen against Trumps minions. Terrifying.

Every activated Guardsman has a family, a job, school, or something that they are leaving to do their duty. It’s one thing when it’s a war… or a real mass civil disturbance, which those only last a few days. But to rip these people from their lives for a show… is awful.
