Well, if either of you is looking for a furry community to play multiplayer sessions with, send me a DM. I’ve got a railfur discord server for organizing train multiplayer games. It’s a bit quiet right now, but I’m sure it’ll pick up again when the MoW update drops.
I had to pry myself away from the game recently. I’ve been wanting to play more Truck Sim, and I don’t want to get tired of Railroader before the maintenance of way update is published. When that drops, Railroader will have my full attention again.
I took a minute and realized this locomotive was refused from sale to the same railroad that restored 1309. I usually don’t like to judge people in these kind of situations, but I’m starting to understand the frustration now.
I don’t really remember enough of the event to draw my own conclusions, but it makes me sad for a locomotive to remain in limbo like that.
Reminds me of an engine back in Texas. Louisiana & Arkansas 4-6-0 No. 503 was in danger of being scrapped a couple years ago and so preservationist tried to save it. Once that effort gained traction, suddenly everybody was talking about the locomotive. So the city, Port Arthur, decided to keep it.

I had a dream of driving a Southern Railway F-1 along a road I used to drive home on everyday in high school. Felt good being at the throttle, but weird knowing those tracks didn’t really exist. Rail in that area is pretty much impossible with the local geography, far too many hills.
