because I REALLY wanted to get to the farmers market!! (And ya move pretty quick without a kid on the back 😉)
I did the home to school to Berry Hill trip last week by car and it suckkkkkked. bikes are better tools to get around a city, full stop.
had a busy day (school then a meeting in Berry Hill then flu shot then the farmers market then home, about 15 mi/24 km), but because I biked instead of driving, I have the energy to cook these delicious ingredients and am not grouchy from traffic ☺️
remember when teachers had to roadtrip to other counties to get our first shots because The State hates us??

My Nashville school got new sidewalks recently, and an upgraded WeGo stop, and it’s been a HUGE win for my students. But I’m aware of how lucky we are in this town!
The next year we could take the bus to junior high, but the freedom of movement bikes provide changed my whole life 🥰
My family moved juuust outside the school boundary the summer before 6th grade, but my brother and I wanted to stay with our friends for the last year of Elem. Because Minnesota, there were separated bike paths the whole way
