I felt it was really straight forward almost 20 years ago and i feel like it's somehow even better now. I think more devs just design with Linux users in mind than back then is all honestly
Installed Mint recently and it's been great. Ubuntu was my first distro, I played Fallout through wine on my laptop back then

All the hardware kind of converging, the trend chasing/mandatory bug budget of the big publishers, has definitely put a damper on things for me. The indie devs and smaller publishers are still making things I think are great. They still have vision driving them

While Iβm excited about the upcoming adaptation, if Ghost In The Shell 1995 had been a more faithful adaptation instead of Oshiiβs deeply serious take on the material, the franchise would not have stood the test of time like it has. More anime adaptations should be allowed to take risks like that.
