One also has to keep in mind that the series started in the 90s so at the start the pacing and such will be completely different compared to shows nowadays.
I mean, yes it’s a thing in alchemy so it’s real in that sense but nobody has actually made one so it’s not REAL real.

One thing I do find interesting about it (both book and novel) is that there’s no elegance to Chigurh. Most fictional psychopaths are closer to Hannibal, intelligent, classy and all that but Chigurh just brute forces his way through everything and seems to have zero patience for people.

I am curious to see how the Chainsaw Man movie will fair, which also adapts a story arc from the manga into a movie. I don’t think CSM is as popular as Demon Slayer though but we’ll see. I just think it’s fun we’re actually getting these anime franchise movies in theaters these last few years.
Demon Slayer does have the advantage of already being massively popular and the movie being a canon story arc as opposed to like One Piece: Film Red which also did gangbusters if I remember right but was just a non-canon side story.
I’m not confident enough to make such a definitive statement but I do agree she’s an all time great. I know she was unable to write due to health issues but I do hope she decides to write another one cause both her novels have been excellent.
