Epstein survivor: This is not a partisan issue... This is a crime that has 1000 victims. Could you be ok with a crime happening in your community to a thousand girls and young women and not holding the perpetrators accountable?

After I heard that story I saved a few codine pills from a tooth issue so I could offer them if needed 😬 Not entirely kosher but 🤷♀️
The roughest story I heard was a guy getting kidney stones. Someone kayaked into town and hired a boat to pick the guy up but the ride back was brutal since the conditions were choppy and the boat was just a metal panga that bounced off every wave.
It has to be refrigerated so that was tricky in Baja at the time because the town turned their generator off at 10pm most days and there’s no way to keep antivenin at the right temperature in a kayak for days. So hey all let’s not bother any rattlesnakes 🤷♀️

I used to take people out on the sea of Cortez from what was a tiny little town. We would be a day or two from that town so prevention of injuries was key. The pre trip talk included ‘don’t get drunk and wander off looking for a place to pee. Go to the ocean where there aren’t any rattlesnakes”

His thoughts were keep the person comfortable, clean open wounds and seal/cover them because the hospital is going to thoroughly clean them and give them antibiotics etc. our job is to keep things from getting worse out there. I paraphrased
I then attended several classes on wilderness medicine and those were also interesting. One of the lectures was by a doctor who said he started off with a huge kit and finally was down to strong pain meds, duct tape and a syringe with no needle to irrigate wounds.
One of the things I learned was how large a role ambulances and advanced lifesaving equipment and skills are. When you’re way out from the nearest town caring for someone who needs medical attention is a lot different. 😳

I took an EMT course and got the certification when I was guiding trips into the wilderness. I did learn useful things but I also learned after the ride along that it wasn’t for me
My doctor said “you’re more likely to have an easier time getting to sleep at home in your own bed than a lab” Made sense to me

I’ve done a little bit of riding on gravel and I can get through it but don’t love it. I did it on my road bike with 25 tires though so that made it a bit more challenging
There was a stand selling 20 avocados for $5 near 76/15 area
Couser canyon and Lilac are nice and are paved
Have you ridden a bike in that area? There are some nice routes and occasionally an avocado falls in the road
Some of them are so ridiculously wealthy that they think they will be insulted from whatever damage happens

I once walked in on my husband playing a video game while on a work call. The video game was on mute but the call wasn’t. Anyway I said “you are a bad boy and you need a spanking” The look on his face as he turned around and his boss said “uh..did someone join the call?” 😂
