Sometimes. If I am trying to relieve anxiety or just get worry out of my mind and body, I will Google journal prompts or use some from Michelle Obama's journal book. If I'm just frustrated and don't know what to do with it, I will cuss out whoever in my journal. It's a tool, but not the only one.
And truly this is the shame of the summer. Praying that is remedied sooner rather than later.

I want to shout this at teachers before the school year starts. Littles don't have emotional literacy to explain their feelings and it comes out in behavior. Instead of giving them the language and space to process, we reinforce and spotlight the behavior and actions of the emotions.
