The Kobo list, far more than Amazon has a lot of stuff at £2.99 which might be worth looking at, and seems a bit more prone to listing works which are out of copyright (Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde and so on). That's what Project Gutenberg is for.

There needs to be some allowance made for any place with several servers able to deliver bills and the one card machine. Not an ideal position to be in, but those things cost money and smaller places are always trying to save a penny so as to keep your bills down.
