I can’t be the only one reacting to this. My father interviewed the lawyers who were at the Nuremberg trials. They told him about what happened to the system of Justice in Germany. Then he spoke to lawyers who had fled to Israel from Russia… the same stories over and over again… and now US!
Europe can, and should develop a fully independent defence capability, but that can be done while remaining in NATO. It means having a NATO which can operate in the European sphere without US participation.
After a mini-boom produced by surging war expenditure, the Russian economy is now being strangled by Putin's war economy. Putin has to make the most of his war machine before it cripples Russia. Expect escalated Russian aggression over the next 12-24 months.
The other thing is that Russia is attacking us from within. Russia didn't promote Farage for no reason. The more powerful Russia becomes the more it will seek to control our politics. It wants Western Europe turned into a nasty web of pro-Russian fascist states.
