Also I want to point out that I totally understand and can appreciate leaving the GOP in the face of fasicsm taking over. I've had long talks about me with friends who have done the same. But platforms have frameworks that are basically the same. That cannot be ignored.
Romney is not a fascist. Something I’ll be sure to tell my current colleague who worked for him. But he supported the same basic playforms as Trump. Low taxes for the rich, guns without registration, climate change is false, marriage inequality. This dumb stuff isn't even my full time job.

I think any good Democratic candidate deserves to be platformed. Still, I have to say it's a bit funny that there is this suggestion that these women are somehow "tough" toward Trump, while at the same time opposing a female leader who led the charge to impeach the man twice.
There is no such thing as an "independent" person. Independent of what? Whatever they believe is wrong about two parties, and yet these polls are about policies. Trump remains popular with 40% of Americans is alarming.

My only point in this, representatives do their most important work in the capital with other representatives. We still do bipartisan legislation - it's just never talked about. The idea of a legislative body calling in votes or hearings is what we have now.

I say this to not only brag, but also how incredibly difficult it is to secure the winners. My work was around 1999-2001/2ish. It was the infancy of the internet machine. I did a lot of research on Marlon Brando, who always declined.
