Also I want to point out that I totally understand and can appreciate leaving the GOP in the face of fasicsm taking over. I've had long talks about me with friends who have done the same. But platforms have frameworks that are basically the same. That cannot be ignored.
As most people on the left do, you continue to talk about policies when the entire issue is cultural. Winning requires that Democrats talk solely about themes and symbols which resonate with Americans. Until Democrats do that, they'll lose much more than they could win.

I didn't write an essay. I wrote two news stories which were, like all news stories, highly partisan. I wrote several other stories besides. Democrats are losing to Trump and lost to Trump. Twice. Maybe someone who understands Republicans could help. But dig away.
