Graham Linehan once took issue with a sketch I did and tweeted about me referring to me not by name but only as to who my boyfriend was and called me an NPC ( non player character.) It was misogynistic and his “standing up for women” schtick is baloney.

What I’ve seen of the outer worlds 2 isn’t really exciting me, the first one was ok - a bit of a thin experience overall but probably expected for a new IP in a budget constrained environment, but 2 also seems to have lost some of its charm.

Talking of retro shenanigans, one of the things I picked up last week was an Archimedes A3000, to replace the one I foolishly gave away 15 years ago. As usual with these machines it had been battery bombed, but not in a BAD way so a good dose of vinegar and a trip through the dishwasher will help.

Well i've paid the stupid postage fee imposed on me because Buyee believes slot car controllers could possibly be mistaken for guns. I think this is the last time i'll be using Buyee, due to their inflexability in this, not reviewing the decision and not allowing me to split the package.

The FM8 powers up - I’m hoping the lines are a result of me getting the signal from the green CRT port using my fingers to hold bare wires to a cable and not stick bits in some memory

Some nice people just played the Lynx version of Jurl on stream. It's kind of a shame it was that version because it's one of the least polished, but they seemed to have fun.

The AES was cheaper because it was sold as not working - turned out someone had done a hatchet job on it trying to install a UniBios - once I’d undone that it worked fine

Technically my first computer was an Atari 800XL that my grandmother got on tick from Rumbelows, but that turned out to be DOA so my cousins managed to find a second hand 48K spectrum which became my first working computer
So in the end I just muscled through and worked stuff out myself. But this is why retro platforms don't get supported by new devs.

Sometimes you come across a toolchain that has bad documentation but good examples or bad examples but good documentation and you can get by - sometimes though you come against one where both are bad and it’s painful
